Calories, fats, carbohydrates, and proteins - you've heard of them, but what are they? Why do we need calories? Are fast food restaurants healthy? How can we eat a healthier restaurants?
Nutritious foods contains calories which measure the amount of energy that the body gets from food. Normal body function like breathing use energy. This energy comes from the food we eat. Kids needs atleast 2000 calories per day. Carbohydrates- simply called sugar. This is the most abundant source of calories on earth. The best source of carbohydrates are celery, rice, potatoes, breads, fruits, and vegetables. Carbohydrates should make up about 50-55% of your daily calories. Fats are actually divided into two groups. Fat are important source of energy. It provide a place for the body to store. Vitamin A, D, E, and K. Protein is also the most plentiful substance in our body. Almost 20% of our weight is protein in our bodies.
So, this time we all should eat nutritious food and not the unhealthy one.
